Book signings: Matt Lee and Ted Lee, award-winning authors who grew up in Charleston, will sign copies of their new cookbook, "The Lee Bros. Simple Fresh Southern: Knockout Dishes With Down-Home Flavor" at two locations this weekend. They will be at Williams-Sonoma, 281 King St., at 1 p.m. Saturday and at Barnes &amp; Noble in Mount Pleasant's Towne Centre at 2 p.m. Sunday. Also, local cookbook author Holly Herrick will be signing her "Southern Farmers Market Cookbook" (Gibbs Smith, June 2009) at Rosebank Farms' Fall Festival, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 14 at 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island. Knife Sharpening: Bring in your dull knives to the Coastal Cupboard and have them professionally sharpened for free. Learn techniques for maintaining knives at home. (Straight-edged knives only, any brand, and limit of four knives per person.) 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday. The Coastal Cupboard is at 644-J Long Point Road in the Belle Hall shopping center, Mount Pleasant.
