King Street soon will be home to four new businesses, three of them restaurants.
Jennifer and Scott Moreland will open South Carolina's first and only Scentchips home fragrance store at 318 King St. in the former Mary Norton location on Monday, according to real estate broker Phillip Rose of Rose Commercial Real Estate.
Handmade in the company's home base of San Antonio, Texas, for more than 25 years, the Scentchips product covers 3,000 square feet when melted and lasts for more than five years when used as a potpourri.
Also coming to lower King is a new Asian-style dining spot.
Patrick Price with The PrimeSouth Group LLC reports that 375 King St. has been sold to PEK Holdings LLC, a restaurant group that will open an Oriental diner.
The registered agent for PEK Holdings is Xiang "Jason" Q. Zheng of Charleston. He currently owns Peking Gourmet II at 555 King St.
